Meet Samantha

Samantha is a Rule 31 Listed Civil and Family Mediator in Tennessee with over twenty years experience in the legal and nonprofit industry. From trial lawyer to outside general counsel, Samantha has a breadth of practice and industry experience that contributes to her ability to collaborate with individuals and small businesses to resolve disputes through mediation. In addition to mediation, Samantha regularly serves as a Special Master in civil and family matters in Hamilton County, Tennessee. Samantha is particularly suited to matters that involve complex financial matters and real estate disputes.

Samantha is a volunteer mediator participating in the Chattanooga Bar’s Courthouse Indigent Mediation Services (CIMS) program. Samantha also volunteers through Legal Aid of East Tennessee and through Tennessee Free Legal Answers.

Along with Joe Manuel (The ADR Professor), Samantha is the co-creator and an instructor through The Mediation Classroom, which provides on-demand continuing mediator education (CME) and continuing legal education (CLE) courses tailored specifically to the requirements of Tennessee Rule 31.

Samantha received her Rule 31 Civil training in 2021 from Private Dispute Resolution Services in Chattanooga and her Rule 31 family crossover training in 2025 from Lipscomb University in Nashville.

Samantha has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pepperdine University and earned her Juris Doctorate from Duke University School of Law. Samantha is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Georgia (inactive in Texas).
